Project: The Maven Hotel
Location: Denver, CO
Year of Completion: 2017
Firm: JNS Architecture + Design
Role: Interior Design (Guestrooms, Public Spaces, F&B)
Summary: Anchoring the corner of the Dairy Block—an eye-catching retail- and restaurant-filled alley within downtown Denver—this boutique hotel presented the opportunity to operate as a “living room” for both hotel guests and local residents. With a space that opened onto the street and concealed alley, as well as into an adjoining food hall, our vision was to create an inherently connected, activated space that transcended the traditional role of a hotel lobby. Both artwork and FF&E were of particular importance in this project, as we sought to showcase the “maker culture” that had shaped Denver’s uniquely entrepreneurial and creative energy.
